Specialist Reading Support
Helping children who struggle with reading
build strong foundations,
develop confidence and
become independent readers.

I'm Aniko, welcome!
I've been teaching children for over twenty years, specialising in helping those who struggle with reading and other learning difficulties.
Over the years, I've worked with many children who have fallen behind in reading. I've found that progress starts with identifying where the difficulties begin and building the missing skills step by step.
That's why I personalise my reading programme to each child. Rather than simply providing more reading practice, I focus on strengthening the foundations they need to become confident, independent readers.
I also believe that parents play an essential role in their child's progress. My programme combines individual online lessons with short, carefully planned daily activities that parents can help their children complete at home..
How my reading programme works
Every child is different. Their age, developmental level, and specific learning difficulties all shape how they learn. That's why I design an individual programme for each child, choosing the methods and activities that suit them best.
The programme has three main elements:
1. Weekly individual online lessons
Depending on your child's needs and readiness, I can work directly with them, guide you in working with them, or involve both of you in our sessions.
2. Short, personalised daily practice
I prepare activities for your child to practise at home, usually taking around 10–15 minutes a day. These activities reinforce what we've worked on during the lessons and help new skills become secure.
3. Ongoing guidance for parents
I stay in regular contact with you, reviewing your child's progress, providing feedback and adjusting the activities as needed. You'll know what your child is working on and how you can support them.
How to get started
1. Book a free introductory call
Our first conversation is an opportunity to discuss your child's reading difficulties, ask questions and explore how I might be able to help.
2. Decide on the next step
Depending on your child's needs, we may arrange an initial assessment or move directly into the reading programme.
If an assessment is recommended, the fee is £50, which will be deducted from your first programme payment if you decide to continue.
3. Begin your child's personalised programme
Once we've agreed on the best approach, we'll get started with individual lessons, carefully planned home practice and ongoing support.
Programme fees
My standard fee is £300 per four weeks. This includes weekly individual online lessons, personalised daily practice activities and ongoing guidance for parents.
As every child's needs are different, the fee may vary depending on the type and level of support required. We'll discuss the most suitable arrangement during our introductory conversation.
